Camden County is best known for its rich history, natural scenic beauty and Southern hospitality. It's home to Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Cumberland Island National Seashore and Crooked River State Park. Its cities are Kingsland, St. Marys and Woodbine and located between Savannah and Jacksonville along Georgia's most southern coast.
Ballot for board of directors set
A nominating committee recommended six people for the next term for the board of directors (July 2014 - June 2017). These include:
Those going off the board are Jill Helton, Royal Weaver and Charlie A. Smith, however Mr. Smith will stay on one additional year as immediate past chairman. We are most grateful for their service to Chamber and to Camden County.
A ballot will be sent to all members via email in April. New board members will be installed at the Annual Awards dinner in June.
Work has started on creating the 2014 edition of the Guide to Camden County. This publication is a joint effort of the Camden County Chamber and the Tribune & Georgian to help promote Camden County by providing practical information often needed by businesses, resident and newcomers. Chamber Organizes Washington DC Fly-In
A delegation of chamber members and community leaders traveled to Washington DC for the Chamber's Annual Fly-in. While there, the delegation met with military and legislative leadership as well as the US Chamber and National Park Service to discuss opportunities and concerns regarding Kings Bay Naval Base, Cumberland Island and other federal legislation that impacts Camden.
